一 |     (ECNS) -- China reported 522,000 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in July, including 487 severe cases and one death, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) said Thursday.     The positivity rate among influenza-like illness cases at sentinel hospitals rose from 8.2% in late June to 21.2% by early August.        China CDC said the latest increase remained a cyclical fluctuation comparable in intensity with those of the previous two years. The current surge has slowed and entered a plateau, with most cases mild and disease severity unchanged.    Monitoring has found no variants posing a major public health risk and no noticeable impact on the overall operation of medical services.    （By Helen Mo, intern Yang Hongran）                          。    本报讯 根据党纪学习教育要求，结合区委巡察办“六个一”活动，在区委第六轮巡察期间，巡察办开展了“组长讲党课”活动。

二 |          　　在各巡察组巡察过程中，依据区委巡察办推行的“六个一”活动要求，两名巡察组组长做党的二十大精神的宣讲员，讲了一次党课。区委第一巡察组组长为本组人员以及区供销合作社联合社的12名党员同志讲授了以“正心正行，做一名合格的党员”为主题的党课。

三 | 本次党课帮助被巡察党组织的党员们树立正确的三观，坚定为人民服务的宗旨意识，同时清晰地阐述合格党员的标准和规范，促使党员自我约束，做到言行一致，对党员们起到了思想引领的作用，符合党的纪律要求。区委第二巡察组组长为本组人员以及区妇女联合会、区工商业联合会、区融媒体中心的25名党员同志讲解了新修订的《中国共产党纪律处分条例》。以党课的形式来讲《中国共产党纪律处分条例》，有助于全面、深入、有效地推动党员对条例的学习和贯彻，加强党的纪律建设。

四 |          　　本次“组长讲党课”活动不仅拉近了巡察组与被巡察党组织的关系，而且也为被巡察单位党组织党员们指明了方向，在今后的工作和生活中，党员们将牢记本次党课内容，以更加坚定的信念和严格的自律，为党和人民的事业不懈努力。（齐凤）。
